Real cool, Whaddya reckon the thing harry and dumbledore are looking at in the us version, a pensieve or something?
most probably it is the pensieve.
a new post has been added in Mr. GoodBytes, check it out.
Have any of you thought of Godric Gryffindor as the Half-Blood Prince?? JKR has always made us speculate on Godric's Hollow and Godric Gryffindor. Moreover, Book 2 has things about Slytherin and JKR has said important clues to Book 6 is in Book 2.
JKR, in a statement in jkrowling.com, said that vital info from book 6 WAS there in initial drafts of Chamber Of Secrets, but then she thought better of it and removed it.
I can, of course be mistaken.
True she said that she had removed the vital information but on jkrowling.com she also says there still is a link. Somewhere else she had also mentioned that Harry finds out something in Book 2 which plays a major role later. Moreover, if you look back at the excerpt behind the 'Do not Disturb' door, it starts with "He looked rather like an old lion....."
The "old lion" could be Felix Felicis. Felix the cat...old lion...I dunno just throwin' stuff around. Also the adults' cover is giving me the idea that the penseive-like-thing is actually a potion that they're making. Gah, I can't wait!
BTW guys, it's so good to find more potterblokes in blogdom =)
You're right saphron, it is nice to see 'Pottermania' on blogspot.
BTW did any of you see the marketing campaign that Scholastic is planning? It's got a new picture, kinda extended version of the american cover with 3 kids watching from below. What do you think about that??
I think its ron, hermione and ginny...it seems most obvious but some idiots on the fansites are going on about how it could be a younger lilly or whatever. The way they're looking up is kinda convincing me more that its a potion that's brewing up there. But then when the book comes out I might end up looking like an idiot.
Ha ha. I too think its ginny (even more connection with CoS) but the other 2 don't look like Ron and hermione as ron's supposed to be having freckles and hermione's supposed to be with curly hair. The potion thing is quite possible if you look at the importance being given to potions in this book, and Jo had also mentioned somewhere that we are going to find out about a new potion in the HBP.

whoa...where did she say that? If she did then I'd have no more doubts about it. Because if you think about it, why would harry hold out his wand above a pensieve? It's not like someone could do magic inside a memory...it wouldn't change anything...unless its the memory of voldemort and they're screwing with it...hmmmm
You're right, your theory looks more and more convincing. I don't remember where/when she had said about the potion but I'm quite sure I had read about it while going through Jo's hundred's of interviews on 'quick-quotes-quill' and to screw with voldie's memory they would need to have it in the first place...hmmm
oh wow...I didn't think of that...how would one acquire Voldie's memories??? Maybe with the skills that he passed to Harry, he also left a bit of himself in there??? It'll be interesting to find out...haha can't wait.
